Relive the Magic: Saks Fifth Ave Light Show

Every holiday season, New York City transforms into a wonderland of festive cheer, with one event standing out for visitors and locals alike: the Saks Fifth Avenue Light Show. Situated directly across from the world-famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, the dazzling display became a beloved holiday tradition.

For years, I loved heading to midtown to watch this spectacular show as it illuminated the heart of Manhattan. It was a big part of the whole holiday experience in NYC, combined with visiting Rockefeller Center skating rink, shopping along Fifth Avenue, and a checking out the dazzling window displays of other iconic stores.

However, in 2024, the streets of Midtown Manhattan will feel a little quieter. For the first time in years, Saks will not present its famous light show, citing cost-cutting measures as the reason.
